Born in Spain, Lluís Puiggròs studied graphic arts at the School of Art of Vic. He continued his training in various Catalan artists’ workshops, and he also experimented with painting in the open air. In his beginnings, his creations represented rural scenes painted with watercolours or with oil on paper.
After a voyage to New York, Lluís Puiggròs felt attracted by the esthetics of the urban landscape and tried the collage, then oil and the acrylic resin on wood.
Lluís Puiggròs obtained several painting awards among which the Sant Jordi Fine Arts Award. His masterworks are present in private and public collections in Spain, in Andorra and in Chicago.
Lluís Puiggròs’ main subjects are: Paris, New York, Venice and Spain.
