P. Rousseau is a passionate of drawing since his earliest childhood. He studied at the Fine Arts of Angouleme, learned different techniques and turned to painting that particularly seduces him.
Passionate about travels, he began travelling through the Atlantic coast, then lived in the mountain in Argentina and continued to Prague, Florence, Venice, Rome and of course, Paris. During all these trips, P. Rousseau sketched notebooks of drawings. He then brushed his sketches and enriched his colors with a spatula. He still works with oil with a palette of pastel shades daring red and blue, while maintaining a whimsical atmosphere. Painting and music are the daily passions of this artist.
He never stops looking for topics; everything around him has to be painted. The city is an indispensable universe for P. Rousseau, it conceals secrets and stories that he tries to guess behind every window.
P. Rousseau paints and sculpts his characters. He does not conceive of his existence without color and movement. Then he has a street here, a sky over there, a memory, a landscape. Bridges have a privileged place since they allow to reach the other shore and to aim to new horizons.
