Numbered bronze sculptures 1 to 8 and signed or artist’s proofs are also exhibited on pedestals or stelae at Galerie Saint-Roch..
The original sculpture clay is then molded in plaster.
The basic technique has not changed through the centuries. After an object has been modeled in wax, it is covered with a clay-based mixture, then cooked to empty the wax and bronze is poured thereafter. It only remains to break the clay mold to have the object appear.
Patinas require considerable know-how. The sculpture obtained after casting is usually golden yellow. Depending on the effect to be obtained it can be applied to various products to oxidize the metal.
The sculptures of our artists can be divided into different colors, mostly in shades of green, ranging from dark to light, golden-brown, navy blue.
