Weissman was born in Paris were he studied at the School of Fine Arts with Calmettes. While visitng Italy, he began appreciating the architecture of this country. This artist discovered the facades of houses in Rome, and in Venice, its ancient palaces and canals.
As a colourist painter, Weissmann transferred on the canvas the beautiful landscapes of Italy, Greece, Hungary, France and Paris particularly, where light is so important.
He proved his knowledge of nature through a long search of themes and their color harmonies.
A confirmed portraitist as well, Weissmann shows his ability to master, besides the resemblance, the main characters of his subjects.
As a member of the Society of Fine Arts, and during several years, he participated alone as well as in groups in distinguished Parisian exhibitions and exhibits, in the French provinces and abroad.
Most of his works are in private collections.
